Today I'm discussing what research shows are the most effective Interventions for Preventing Unwanted Cell Phone use in the LDS Classroom. I'm using data from my own (thus) unpublished survey of LDS Teaches and Berry and Westfall's 2015 study (citation below) for much of this report. - Remove student from class
- Remove cell phone from student
- Verbal reprimand/warning
MOST EFFECTIVE PREVENTATIVE INTERVENTIONS
- Class size smaller than 20
- Group discussion
- Group activity
- Show videos

Thank you for the video. This was helpful because we occasionally have students using cell phones in the classroom when it is not allowed. I have not always kept my cool and it gave me renewed reasons to do so.
